OMEGA DeVille

First introduced as part of the Seamaster collection 60 years ago, Omega De Ville is now an established collection in its own right - and one with a discernible character. In contrast to the renowned sports models of Omega's other lines, the De Ville collection embodies elegance. Upon its launch, the new line was unique not only due to its more simple, classic styles but also because of its inception. Rather than Omega's headquarters in industrial Bienne, the De Ville was created in sophisticated Geneva. In 1999, De Ville became the first collection to feature a co-axial escapement. It features a system of three pallets that separates the locking function from the impulse, avoiding the sliding friction of the lever escapement. Resulting in greater mechanical efficiency, more stable precision and, ultimately, a much longer lifespan for your timepiece. This advancement solidified Omega's reputation of innovation and De Ville's notoriety as a collection of streamlined design and movements.
