Launched initially in 2000, this watch showcases an open, balanced dial marked by a power reserve indicator at 3 o'clock and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o'clock. This model boasts a 42.4 mm stainless steel case, silver-plated dial, and gold-plated hands and appliques, encapsulating elegance with a thinner casing ring and box-glass sapphire crystals both front and back. The dial itself is a product of meticulous craftsmanship involving 60 steps and 15 layers of transparent lacquer polished to a high gloss, creating an exceptional depth. The appliques are hand-mounted, enhancing the dial's three-dimensional effect. It's powered by the in-house 52011 caliber, featuring a Pellaton winding system with durable zirconium oxide ceramic parts and a 7-day power reserve. Completing its sophisticated design is a black alligator leather strap with a stainless steel folding clasp, making the Portugieser Automatic 42 a perfect blend of heritage and advanced watchmaking.
